My favorite used bookstore, The Library Bookstore in Ferndale, MI, had this book by Louise Hay today when I visited. It was like it was waiting for me (as so often is the case!) I am now reading it. The following is a passage at the end of chapter 3 that really speaks to me. [...]

Oprah!
Oprah! (linked above) has an article about going gray and how beautiful gray hair can be. I can tell you I am grateful for the reduced stress of seeing “cottony white” roots after just two weeks of dyeing my hair dark brown… and I think I look better with the “lighter” look. I just [...]

I just finished up a map for the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce. It was a delight to work with them – what a great town! Ferndale is a designated Cool City here in Michigan, with a bit of an urban/suburban flair. It’s edgy, young, and fabulous!
Check out their Chamber website, and if [...]

My mother-in-law’s birthday is this weekend. She will be 70. This is a big deal. Guess who got stuck with the task of getting the present?
Every year the kids go in together on a gift. Jeff and I have not been in charge of getting the gift recently. But [...]

“May your hair, your teeth, your face-lift, your abs, and your stocks not fall .
And may your blood pressure, your triglycerides, your cholesterol, your white blood count and your mortgage interest not rise.
May you [...]

Over the last several months I’ve learned to listen to my intuition and be more trusting of my instincts. I’ve learned that it is important to be grounded. I’ve learned that the answers are not outside… but inside. I’ve learned that I need to center myself daily and that the path will appear if I [...]

I just want to acknowledge the day… to take a moment to remember. Six years ago today I was in a meeting. I did not see the buildings fall until after the meeting. When I came out of the meeting everyone was gathered in front of a TV- I sold Cable [...]

As a result of working with my life coach I have dropped 20 pounds since the beginning of June. The weight loss was almost effortless. It seems to have “magically” happened. It was a “side effect.” I may even drop more.
I like to refer to my weight loss as a physical manifestation of the spiritual [...]

It’s been a while since I’ve updated the progress on going back to my natural hair color. It’s been over a month ago that I had much of the dye pulled out and redyed with a lighter “demi” color to soften the line of new growth. I have no regrets! My hair is growing [...]
